- Eliminates heat and dries dampnessUsed for jaundice, acute dysentery, leukorrhea, and sores.
- Stops wind, itching, and kills parasitesUsed for damp skin toxins with chronic itching, genital itching and bacterial infections, trichomonas, ringworm, eczema, pus, and bleeding anywhere on the skin. Can be used both internally and topically.
- Promotes urinationFor acute urinary tract infections due to heat, for patterns such as damp-heat in the small intestine, and heat-induced edema.
Usage and Dosage
3 – 10g is decocted for oral use.
Suitable amount of decoction is used externally.
Notes Contraindicated in the case with asthenic cold in the spleen and stomach, consumption of the body fluids due to yin deficiency. It is incompatible with Lilu (Rhizoma et Radix Veratri).
Keep in a cool, dry place. Protect from mould and moths.
