Almond and Hemp Congee


Moisturises the bowels and prevents constipation, nourishes and replenishes yin and vital essence. It is recommended for the elderly and pregnant women who are experiencing dryness of the bowels associated with deficiency in the vital essence, and for those suffering from constipation.


Sweet almond 15g, hemp seed 15g, japonica rice 100g.


1.Pound the almond and hemp seed and decoct with water for 45 – 60 minutes. Strain out the liquid and set aside.
2.Rinse the japonica rice and place in a pot with the almond and hemp decoction. Add a suitable amount of water and cook as congee.
