Source Blackberrylily Rhizome is the Rhizome of Belamcanda chinensis (L.) DC., family Indaceae.

Action
•Clears heat, removes toxins, and benefits the throat
For acute laryngitis, tonsillitis, edema of the glottis, or any pain and swelling of the throat from heat toxins or phlegm fire.
•Strongly reduces phlegm and clears the lungs
Treats cough with profuse sputum, wheezing, and phlegm obstruction. This herb’s action on phlegm is so strong that it can be combined with warming herbs to treat phlegm cold.

Usage and Dosage
3 – 9g is used in decoction for oral use, or pounded and the juice taken orally. Suitable amount of the pounded one is used externally.

Notes Contraindicated for pregnant women or patients with loose stools due to deficiency of the spleen.

Keep in a dry, ventilated place.
