Action

  • Relieves pain and traumatic injuries
    Used for injuries with swelling, pain, inflammation and bruising. May be used as medicinal powder with Chinese Angelica (Danggui), Fortune’s Drynaria Rhizome etc.
  • Heals broken bones and sinews
    For fractured bones, sprains, strains and contusions. May be used with Sappan Wood, Frankincense, Dragon’s Blood etc.
  • Dispels blood stasis

Usage and Dosage
10–15 g is used in decoction for oral use; often used in pills and powder. When prepared with vinegar, 0.3 g is used each time.

Note
Used with caution in the case of blood deficiency without stasis, flaming-up of fire due to deficiency olyin. Not suitable for prolonged use.

Keep in a dry place.

The good ones are yellow and shiny and have even surfaces. The broken pieces emit a metallic glow.
