Action

  • Promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis
    Treats amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, blood stasis after delivery.
  • Causes subsidence of swelling and relieves pain
    Cures prickly pain in the chest and abdomen, and traumatic swelling and pain.

Usage and Dosage
Used as crude herb; 3–10 g is used in decoction for oral use. Powder or decocted paste can also be consumed. Powder form for external use.

Note
Contraindicated for pregnant women, people with heavy menstrual discharge, intense heatiness in body due to deficiency oi yin and profuse sweat.


Storage
Keep in a cool and well-ventilated place.

Description of Quality Herb
Has a rough, big and hard mass. It has very few wrinkles on it and is reddish yellow in colour.
