Action

  • Cures blood stasis, promotes menstrual flow and relieves pain
    Used for severe blood stasis including amenorrhea, postpartum abdominal pain, abdominal pain, falls, fractures, contusions, sprains and other traumatic injuries.
    Can be used for any external trauma with severe pain and blood stasis.
    Used to treat bleeding, contusions and burns.
  • Reduces food stasis and promotes digestion
    Treats abdominal pain and indigestion due to food stasis.
    Better digestion by improving the functions of the spleen and stomach.

Usage and Dosage
Used as crude herb; 3–10 g is used in decoction for oral use; 2–5 g of powder is taken. For external use, pound herb, wash and decoct.

Note
Contraindicated for pregnant women and in cases of diarrhoea due to hypofunction of the spleen.


Storage
Keep in a cool and dry place.

Description of Quality Herb

The leaves are green and the flowers are yellow and plentiful. There are no mould spots on the herbs.
