Cape Jasmine Congee

Clears heat and purges fire. It is recommended for those suffering from hepatitis, cholecystitis, acute conjunctivitis and conjunctive congestion.

Cape jasmine fruit 3 – 5g, japonica rice 50 – 100g.

1.Decoct the cape jasmine fruit with water for 30 minutes, and strain out the dregs.
2.Add the decocted liquid to the japonica rice and cook as congee.

This recipe is bitter in flavour and cold in nature, and it is not recommended for those with cold-deficiency of the spleen and stomach or who easily experience abdominal distension and loose bowels.
