Amomum Congee

Effects
Regulates qi of the middle energiser, warms the spleen and stomach, and aids digestion. It relieves morning sickness, abdominal distension and dry heaves associated with cold-deficiency of the spleen and stomach.

Ingredients
Villous amomum fruit 3 – 5g, japonica rice 100g.

Preparation
1.Grind the villous amomum fruit finely and set aside.
2.Rinse the japonica rice and cook as congee.
3.When done, add the ground amomum. Bring to a boil once or twice more.

Tips for a Healthy Life
The amomum can also be steeped in boiling water, covered, for 5 – 10 minutes to make tea.
