ACTION

  • Moves qi and blood, relieves pain, reduces masses
    Important herb in relieving pain of all types such as pain in the chest, abdomen, limbs and gynaecological pain.
    Treats dysmenorrheal, coronary artery disease, irregular heartbeat, prolonged qi and blood stagnation leading to masses. Especially for people who have palpable masses in the abdomen and blood stasis.

Usage and Dosage
Used as crude herb to promote blood flow and eliminate blood stasis; if prepared with vinegar, it can relieve pain and promote qi; when prepared with wine, it can regulate blood flow upward. 3-10 g is used in decoction for oral use or 1.5-3 g of powder is taken per consumption.

Note
Contraindicated for pregnant women and those suffering from blood deficiency.

Storage
Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from mould and moths.

Description of Quality Herb
The good one is plump and big in size. It is firm and yellow in colour when broken.
